Security

Production data, guarded like your floor.

Your orders, your job files, your printers — encrypted in transit and at rest, locked behind roles, and built so the hub on your bench opens no doors to the outside.

The essentials

How we keep your farm’s data safe.

No buzzwords, no badges we haven’t earned. Here’s exactly what protects your workspace — and your printers.

In transit

Encrypted on every hop.

Every connection — hub to cloud, app to cloud, browser to dashboard — runs over TLS. Your job files, order data, and printer telemetry never cross the wire in the clear.

At rest

Encrypted where it lives.

Files, orders, and account data are encrypted at rest on US-based cloud infrastructure. Print files sit in storage isolated from the public-facing routes that serve avatars and logos.

Access

The right people, the right buttons.

Role-based access on every paid plan — owner, admin, operator, viewer. An operator can run the floor without touching billing; a viewer can watch without dispatching a thing.

Local network

The hub opens no doors.

The Wi-Fi hub talks to your printers over your local network and reaches out to the cloud — nothing reaches in. No port forwarding, no inbound rules, no printer exposed to the internet.

Resilience

A dropped connection isn’t a lost print.

An in-progress print keeps running locally if the internet or cloud drops — the job lives on the printer. Status, queue, and order-sync catch up the moment you reconnect.

Infrastructure

US-based, by default.

Data is stored on US-based cloud infrastructure. We collect what it takes to run your farm — not a byte we’d have to explain later.

On request

For the teams with a checklist.

Running a lab, a university makerspace, or a farm that answers to procurement? A few extras live one email away — no enterprise sales dance, no quote that takes a week.

We’ll tell you plainly what we do and don’t have. We won’t claim a certification we haven’t earned to win a deal — if you need specifics for a review, ask and you’ll get a straight answer.

SSO & SAML

Single sign-on via SAML, so access follows your identity provider — available on request.

Audit logs

Exportable audit logs of who did what, when — available on request.

Role-based access

Owner, admin, operator, viewer — on every paid plan, no request needed.

Security review

Questionnaire or call — a real person answers, straight, with no overclaiming.

Security questions

The answers, plainly.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Everything moves over TLS in transit and is encrypted at rest on US-based cloud infrastructure. Access to your workspace is gated by role-based permissions on every paid plan, and your printers are never exposed to the internet.

Where is my data stored?

On US-based cloud infrastructure. Your uploaded print files live in storage that’s isolated from the public routes serving avatars and tenant logos, so a public asset request can never reach a tenant’s job files.

Who on my team can access what?

You decide. Every paid plan has four roles — owner, admin, operator, viewer. Owners and admins manage the workspace and billing; operators run the floor and dispatch jobs; viewers can watch live status without changing anything. Invite people to exactly the access they need.

What about the hub sitting on my network?

The hub connects to your printers over your local network and reaches out to our cloud over an encrypted, outbound connection. It opens no inbound ports and needs no port forwarding — nothing from the internet can reach the hub or your printers through it.

Do you support SSO/SAML and audit logs?

SSO/SAML and exportable audit logs are available on request — email nate@autoprintfarm.com and we’ll get you set up. We don’t claim certifications we don’t hold; if you need specifics for a security review, ask and we’ll answer plainly.

What happens to a print if my internet goes down?

It keeps printing. The job already lives on the printer, so a connection drop doesn’t stop it. While you’re offline you lose only live monitoring and the ability to dispatch new jobs; everything reconciles on reconnect.
